Hi, my name is Araia. Last December Big Brothers and Big Sisters of the Triangle matched me with Mary, my Big Sister. Since then we have done lots and lots of fun things. Too many for me to tell you about them all so I am going to pick my favorite stories to share with you.

The first fun time I will share is our Paint Your Pot story. Several weeks ago my Big sister and I went to Paint Your Pot. I picked the dolphin to paint because I saw someone else with one and it looked very pretty.  I thought it was really funny that my Big Sister couldn’t figure out what she was going to paint. She did finally decide to paint an ice cream bowl. We both enjoyed sharing our paints and putting lots of details on our dolphin and ice cream bowl. 

The next fun time I want to tell you about is when we went to see Alvin and the Chipmunks.    This was quite an adventure because we got lost on the way to the movie theatre but we did finally find it and just in time. We didn’t miss any of the movie just some of the commercials. Our favorite part of the movie was when Alvin said, “Bumchickawawa!”

 Another fun story I will share is when my Big Sister and I invited my sister, Anayia, to eat pizza at Z Pizza with us. While we were waiting on the pizza we played Uno. They had lots of different games to choose from but we chose Uno and I almost won. I had only 1 card left when I had to draw 4 because my Big Sister played a draw 4. Just a couple minutes later our pizza came. I was really hungry and couldn’t wait to eat! We all got two pieces and my sister and I were able to take the rest home.

The last fun story I will share was when we went to see College Road Trip. Before the movie we went to McDonalds where I ate a Big Mac, my favorite, and my Big Sister and I shared apple dips. After dinner we went to the movie theatre and got popcorn. We were the first people in the movie theatre so we had to wait a little while for the commercials to start but we had our pick of seats. My favorite part of the movie was when the daughter and her dad got on the plane with the divers. They thought the plane was for swimming divers but it was really for sky divers. So, it was really funny when they had to sky dive to get off the plane.

Finally, my Big Sister and I want to thank Big Brothers and Big Sisters of the Triangle for matching us and making these fun times and memories possible. We can’t wait for all the fun times to come!
