| I have really enjoyed my time spent with her over the past two years, and I feel like our relationship gets stronger with each visit. When I first started coming, I didn't know if she really cared or remembered that I was coming. But after a few visits, her teacher started telling me that she would look forward to our time together, and talk about me throughout the week. And the same was true for me... I started looking forward to our weekly visits and spending time together. One memory that sticks out for me was when I almost tripped while going up the stairs back to the classroom, and Dylasha stopped me from falling and made sure I was alright. It sounds cheesy, but in that moment, I realized that it really was a reciprocal relationship, one of give and take. I feel that we both benefit from the match, and we are always learning from each other. I look forward to another year of learning from her, and trying to teach her a few things myself. |
