In our lives, each of us shared an important connection with someone who broadened our horizons and brought a little magic into our lives.
It was the person who taught you to throw that perfect spiral, or sat in the front row to cheer you on, even when it was embarrassing. These are the little moments that Big Brothers and Big Sisters experience every day.
These real life stories are just a few of the ways Big Brothers Big Sisters is changing lives and communities forever.

Katie and Kelly are a school based mentoring match in the Anderson, Franklin, Scott and Woodford County service area. School Case Manager Pam Stinnett would describe them as a model match. Kelly sees her LS Katie at school once a week. They play games like Crazy Eights, and enjoy creating various ways to play. LS Katie really enjoys her time with her BS, who she admires. Kelly not only volunteers as a Big Sister, she also helps with other agency programs, including Bowl for Kids’ Sake and the Arby’s Golf Scramble. She also serves on the BBBS Volunteer Board of Directors. Katie and Kelly both are involved in their community and churches. Katie has joined a youth group at church through which she is embracing mission work. LS Katie currently makes all As and Bs at school and has a positive, outgoing attitude. Katie and Kelly have been matched 3 years as of March 24th. We would like to congratulate them on their accomplishments, and wish them both the best of luck as they continue on their journey together as sisters.
