In our lives, each of us shared an important connection with someone who broadened our horizons and brought a little magic into our lives.
It was the person who taught you to throw that perfect spiral, or sat in the front row to cheer you on. They challenged you to reach for your goals and celebrated each little success along the way. These are the little moments that Big Brothers and Big Sisters experience every day.
These real life stories are just a few of the ways Big Brothers Big Sisters of San Diego County is changing lives and our community forever.
?My Thursday Afternoon Routine?
 |
Molly has been a Big Sister in the Bigs in Schools program for 2 years now. She and Little Sister, De’Jah, never run out of things to do, from climbing monkey bars to games of tag. De’Jah has boundless energy, but Molly’s calm, even-tempered personality has had a very grounding effect on De’Jah. De’Jah says, “Molly can do all the things I like to do for a long time and doesn’t get tired and I get to have her all to myself. I hate it when it is time for me to go home.”
“It has become the highlight of my week,” says Molly. “I can’t imagine spending my Thursday afternoons anywhere else!”
