“We’ve never done a phone-a-thon and we are very grateful to KASA Fox 2 for the opportunity,” says Reed-Padilla. “There was such an outpouring of money and potential volunteers. What a great way to wrap up National Mentoring Month.”
Over the course of the day, the volunteers and staff participating in the phone-a-thon raised $4,000 and recruited dozens of interested potential volunteers.
