Enrollment and Matching Intern
Reports To: Director of Community Based Mentoring Programs
Position Vision: This position is responsible for providing high-level customer service through the effective implementation of the volunteer and child enrollment and matching process. The successful candidate will produce positive outcomes in the following areas: volunteer yield and processing time; youth yield; youth/parent processing time, customer satisfaction.
Position Responsibilities:
- Conduct volunteer/ client enrollment, including: individual orientations, interviews, child safety education, references and completion of any other enrollment processes. Determine if home visit is necessary and complete as indicated. Assess and refer families for alternative or additional services as needed. Identify and eliminate any barriers interfering with the completion of the enrollment process.
- Ensure high-level proficiency in applying child safety and risk management knowledge, policies and procedures throughout all aspects of job function. Identify child safety issues for volunteers, children and their families.
- Collaborate with other service delivery staff to ensure smooth transition among functions.
- Provide timely and comprehensive reports and recommendations for participation in the program based upon assessments of each individual volunteer and client.
- Determine matches and facilitate match meetings in accordance with volunteer and family schedules.
- Make recommendations to Match Support Specialist for training and support needs.
- Maintain accurate paperwork according to BBBSA and agency standards and enter all information into computer as information is gathered, including, but not limited to, additional contact information, case notes, and match preferences.
Position Requirements:
- Must have high level of organization
- Must be willing to work 10-20 hours per week
- Must be willing and able to work with diverse populations
- Must have car, valid driver’s license and insurance
