We are excited about the partnership between Big Brothers Big Sisters and the Hispanic National Bar Association. The mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters is to provide children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported relationships that change children’s lives for the better, forever.

The collaboration with the Hispanic National Bar association has helped us implement a parental engagement program made possible with a grant from the MetLife Foundation. The purpose of this grant is to work with 20 Big Brothers Big Sisters agencies to strengthen educational outcomes of Hispanic youth through our local mentoring programs and reduce the achievement gap of Latino children. Big Brothers Big Sisters will accomplish these goals by partnering with schools, by partnering with national organizations with an interest in supporting Latino children, and by implementing family engagement strategies.

We will work together to scale our partnership with the Hispanic National Bar Association to serve all 20 of those communities by beginning our work together in 8 cities with the Big Brothers Big Sisters agencies that serve them.
