Big Brothers Big Sisters Columbia Northwest runs a “Second Chance Program,” providing mentoring services to youth between the ages of 12 and 17 who are involved with the juvenile justice system. Recently, the Portland Division of the FBI recognized the agency and the Second Chance Program by presenting them with the Director’s Community Leadership Award.

Pro Skateboarder Shows Big Brothers Big Sisters the Way

Not all that long ago, Yokel was a 12-year-old boy without any sort of male mentor figure in his life. Littles Bring Happiness to the Elderly in Special Mentoring Program
Each week, students from Hamilton Park Pacesetter Magnet School visit with their mentors, residents at the Presbyterian Village North community. The meetings are part of Big Brothers Big Sisters’ Lone Star program in Dallas, Texas called the “Generations Mentoring Program.” Students are matched with their Bigs for this particular program based on their responses to questionnaires they fill out.
Phones Ringing Off the Hook Mark an Agency’s Successful Finish to National Mentoring Month
Bringing an end to their National Mentoring Month activities, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central New Mexico cashed in on an amazing opportunity, with some support from local media KRQE News 13 (KASA Fox 2).
