"Spending time with my Little Brother is easy.  Stuff I’d do anyway is more fun with him."

Volunteering is fun!

Being a Big Brother or Big Sister is one of the most rewarding and enjoyable things you will ever do.
It's easy too...just 4 hours a month can change a young person's life!  Getting together is a great time for both Bigs and Littles.  It doesn't require a special occasion or expensive activities- just a few hours every month sharing simple things you already enjoy.  Your time and attention is worth more to a Little than you realize.  Being a Big is about spending quality one-on-one time with a child and enjoying all sorts of activities together.  Becoming a Big Brother or Big Sister is designed to build a match based on shared interests, personality and your volunteer preferences.

Our Programs

Matches come together through our programs:

Community-Based Mentoring:
For as little as an hour a week, Bigs and Littles meet in their community to share fun activities, stories, and a little bit of themselves.

School-Based Mentoring: Bigs and Littles meet once a week in schools, libraries and community centers to talk and have fun.  It's not about being a tutor...it's about being a friend.

Mentoring Children of Prisoners (MCOP): The objective of this program is to create quality, lasting one-to-one relationships that provide children of offenders with caring role models for future success. Mentors provide opportunities for youth to gain new skills and interests and expand their experiences beyond their families, schools, and neighborhoods by acting as a trusted friend.

Our "Littles"

Little Brothers and Little Sisters come from all kinds of backgrounds. Some are really little (as young as six) and some are teenagers (as old as 17).  What do they all have in common?  They need the friendship and guidance of someone like YOU.

"As a Big, you're simply a friend. Your friendship fits your lifestyle. Busy people of all ages can get involved-choose the program that works best for you!" -Ron, age 54, Big Brother
