When people think of mentoring, they think of Big Brothers Big Sisters. That’s because for more than 100 years we’ve worked to develop a youth mentoring program that works. Our experienced approach to recruiting, screening, matching and supporting our mentoring relationships has resulted in thousands of lasting relationships, and helped change the lives of young people across the country.

Parents are our Partners
We’ll work closely with you; your input is important. Not only do you provide information about your child’s strengths and needs, but you approve the selection of the Big Brother or Big Sister. Once the match is made, parents remain closely involved in several key ways.

Big Brothers Big Sisters conducts a thorough background check on every volunteer and every match is regularly reviewed by a professional Match Support Specialist.

How to Enroll Your Child
Unfortunately at this time, we have more than 70 boys waiting for big brothers and are not accepting new applications for boys while we work diligently to find male mentors! If you would like to put your male child on a list for when we do begin accepting boys please email: lauren.bradshaw@bbbsgs.org.
The easiest and fastest way to get started is to complete our convenient online application. After you complete a short form online, a Big Brothers Big Sisters staff member will contact you. If you do not have an email address or regular access to a computer, feel free to print this Child Application and send it to: Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Greater Seacoast, 4 Greenleaf Woods Drive #201, Portsmouth, NH 03801.
