Tawnee accepted the position of Executive Director of Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Greater Seacoast in September 2008.Prior to her position at BBBSGS, she was the Executive Director of Seacoast Outright in Portsmouth, NH, a support and advocacy organization for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender youth*.She came to New Hampshire from New York, New York where she ran the social services programs of the Metropolitan Community Church of New York.In her position at MCCNY she was responsible for the management and day to day operations of a large food pantry that served people with HIV/AIDS, as well as, the general population.She also started an emergency shelter for throwaway and runaway youth.She has her Bachelor’s Degree from EckerdCollege in St. Petersburg, Florida and her Master of Divinity from Union Theological Seminary in New York, New York.She is very excited to be serving at Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Greater Seacoast and looks forward to building on the fine work that BBBSGS is doing to make our community a better place for all of us.
Joan Barretto, Director of Programs
Joan came on board as Director of Programs for BBBSGS in July, 2008. She brings a wealth of experience to the BBBS team. As an attorney and guardian ad litem, Joan has represented abused and neglected children, and families in need for the past 14 years, and currently co-teaches courses which help families to navigate through the difficult court system. She also has several years of experience in family advocacy and outreach services, and has made a life-long commitment to raising awareness of children's issues. She has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of New Hampshire and a Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School in Boston, MA.Joan is happy to be shifting her career focus with BBBSGS to a more “upbeat” goal of strengthening and building more diverse mentoring programs throughout the seacoast. Joan is creative, loves theatre and dance (you might catch her in some local productions!), the great outdoors, landscaping, the Red Sox, and especially, spending time with her awesome daughter!
Lauren Bradshaw, Enrollment & Matching Specialist
Lauren has been working at Big Brothers Big Sisters since May of 2007. She graduated from UNH with a B.A. is Sociology and a minor in Family Studies and is currently working on getting her Master’s degree in Social Work. Lauren has always enjoyed working with children and families and finds her job very rewarding. She has worked with children both in daycares and elementary school classrooms, and is currently a part-time nursery school teacher in addition to working at BBBS. Lauren enjoys shopping, the beach, being outside, watching movies, playing Wii, and spending time with her family, friends, boyfriend and pets. Lauren is also a Big Sister in our program and really enjoys the time she spends with her Little Sister.
Corianne Woodard, Senior Match Support Specialist
Corianne
began working with BBBSGS in May of 2007. She holds a B.A. in
Psychology and a M.A. in Counseling. She has worked with children,
adolescents, adults and the elderly in both recreational and theraputic
capacities. Her favorite aspect of working in Match Support is the
opportunity to hear mentoring success stories from Bigs and Littles.
In her free time, Corey enjoys the many outdoor and dining experiences
available in the Portsmouth area.

Matthew Wadlinger, Match Support Specialist
Matthew has been working at Big Brothers Big Sisters
since June 2008.He graduated from the University of New Hampshire in May 2008 with a B.A. in
both Psychology and Justice Studies, with a minor of Political
Science. Matthew also obtained a Masters Degree in Justice Studies in the summer
of 2009. Matthew has experience as being a Clinical Intern at the Youth
Developmental Center (YDC) in Manchester, NH
where he worked with adolescents in the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Program (ADAP)
for two years. Matthew's interests include going to music concerts and
festivals, hiking, kayaking, and going on road trips with friends.
Liz Frangione, Match Support Specialist
Liz first came to BBBS in June of 2006She currently holds a B.S. in Family Studies and an M.Ed. in Elementary Education, both from the University of New Hampshire. Along with Big Brothers Big Sisters, she currently teaches 2nd grade at a private school in Concord, NH. In Liz's spare time, she enjoys working out, spending time with family and friends, and baking. Liz lives in Concord, NH.
Jolene Felix, Strafford County School/Site Specialist/Match Support Specialist
Jolene has been working at Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Greater Seacoast since August 2008. She has a B.A. in Psychology and will receive her M.A. in Education in the Summer of 2009.Jolene is a devoted wife and mother to her three children. Her hobbies include spending time with her family, cooking and reading. Jolene worked with children in elementary schools as a Teacher’s Assistant and Substitute Teacher before taking time off to stay home with her family. Jolene loves working for BBBS because she wants to be a part of helping children reach their full potential in life. She feels all children can succeed in life if given the opportunity.
Billy Gaudet, Customer Service Specialist & Administrative Assistant
Billy has been working for Big Brothers Big Sisters since September 2008.He is in the midst of completing his B.A. in English.Billy is a Seacoast native and after venturing to New York City for 4 years, plans to stay put in the quiet seacoast.Billy’s “fun work” lies in events and has volunteered for such events as the Democratic National Convention 2004 in Boston, Ma. and Peace Project in New York City.Billy loves listening to showtunes and NPR.
Sara Molander, UNH Intern
Sara came on board as a UNH intern for BBBS
in September 2009. She is a Junior Psychology Major at UNH, and dual-minoring in
Family Studies and Deaf Studies. She has always enjoyed working with children
and finds witnessing positive growth in children very rewarding. She chose to
intern at BBBS to help be a part of enriching the lives on Bigs and Littles, and
is looking forward to what this experience will bring! In addition to interning,
Sara is the Executive Director of the Alternative Break Challenge program at
UNH. Sara is a Massachusetts native, but has thoroughly enjoyed the NH seacoast
area (except during winters!), especially the beaches and New England downtown
areas. In her free time, Sara enjoys spending time with friends, working out,
and is a complete rock-concert junkie.
