Big Brothers Big Sisters is the oldest, largest and most effective youth mentoring organization in the United States. We have been the leader in one-to-one youth service for more than a century, developing positive relationships that have a direct and lasting impact on the lives of young people. Big Brothers Big Sisters serves children, ages 6 through 16, in communities across the country – including yours.
The Central Texas agency provided more than 82,000 hours of mentoring to 1,662 children throughout 2008 as well as $48,000 in scholarship money to 69 Littles pursuing higher education. For 37 years, we have matched children, ages 6–16, with supportive adult mentors who share everyday experiences with the child. Our agency is ranked in the top five nationally for match quality measures such as six-month retention, duration of match, and support to the match.

Vision: To provide successful mentoring relationships for all children who need and want them, contributing to better schools, brighter futures, and stronger communities for all.
Goal: To reach 5,000 kids by the year 2015.
Our Mentoring Works
