Rent-A-Center makes a BIG difference

Each year during their spring campaign, Rent-A-Center invites its customers to sign their names on colorful paper spring eggs and contribute one dollar. Rent-A-Center matches the gifts, up to $100,000.

In addition, Rent-A-Center opens its doors for special recruitment events, sign-up tables and the distribution of literature. They really help spread the word!

How much of a difference has this Rent-A-Center campaign made for Big Brothers Big Sisters? In just the last four years, this promotion has reached thousands of potential volunteers and raised and contributed nearly one million dollars! In 2006, the campaign raised more than $218,000. In 2007, we donated our biggest amount ever to BBBS — $316,845.  Those funds are used for national outreach — to help recruit donors, find matches for children who need mentors, and locate donors to our local agencies.
