Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Bluegrass would like to Thank everyone who participated in our Bowl For Kids Sake event in 2011. Everyone’s continued support and contributes to our organization helps us to continue our mission of serving children by providing them with a friend and mentor that helps encourage them to grow and to be  successful in life.

Bowl for Kids' Sake

Have fun and help kids! If you care about kids and can spare a little time for fun, then Bowl for Kids’ Sake is right up your alley!

Bowl For Kid's Sake is Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Bluegrass largest and most successful fund raising event. For over 28 years, this event has helped to provide the resources needed to put mentors in the lives of children that need and want a Big Brother or Big Sister. Although this event is one of the most successful in the country, it's not about bowling. It's about helping children achieve and be successful through the caring relationship of a trained and screened mentor. Last year, our event raised over $500,000 to support our programs in 14 counties and 19 school programs.

Events will take place starting in December with the kick-off luncheons in each county we bowl. Bowling events take place from February through April. Many companies, civic clubs, church groups, schools, colleges and universities, and groups of friends get together to establish teams of five to bowl at their designated county event. These teams raise donations by using pledge sheets or have their supporters make on line donations in their name through a personal on line donation page. Food, door prizes and silent auctions are all part of the fun and pageantry of Bowl For Kids' Sake. Bowl For Kids' Sake is a fun way to support Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Bluegrass while having a great afternoon with co-workers, friends and family.
