An Accountable Charity

Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Greater Twin Cities is a financially sound and healthy charity. We strive to be good stewards of the donations given to us. BBBS follows all applicable rules and tax laws.

Where We Get and Spend Money

Fifty percent of BBBS' funding comes from individuals, corporations and foundations. The United Way provides 26 percent of our funding and 15 percent comes from special events. The remaining nine percent is from miscellaneous sources.

Seventy-three cents of every dollar is put towards our program costs. The remaining 27 percent goes towards fundraising (13 percent), management and general expenses (11 percent) and volunteer recruitment (three percent).

Affiliations

BBBS is a charity in good standing with the United Way.

We are also favorably rated by the Charities Review Council.
