Shirley is retired from her position as Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Ceridian Corporation. She is the immediate past chair of the BBBS Board of Directors and serves as the chair of the governance committee. She graduated from Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.  Shirley serves on the following boards:  National Association of Manufacturers Executive Committee, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota and the Minneapolis Downtown Council.  She is also a member of the Minnesota Women's Economic Roundtable, serves as a Mentor for Menttium 100 and has past membership in Drifters - African-American Women's Civic Organization and the Minneapolis Urban League.  Shirley makes her home in south Minneapolis.
