Volunteers! Here's some great training that can help you as you grow your friendship with your Little.

This training provides a basic foundation of knowledge for working with children that have (or have had) incarcerated parents.  It discusses their needs and what mentors must provide to help them succeed in spite of the challenges they face.  It also provides a framework for understanding what incarcerated parents go through, and therefore what some of the issues might be in working with them after their release.  We highly encourage all mentors that work with children of incarcerated parents (past or present) to take this training – it only takes 30-40 minutes and it will support you in the important work you are doing with your Little!
