Haines Program Seeks New Community Director

Burl Sheldon is leaving Big Brothers Big Sisters and the Haines/Klukwan program is seeking a new Community Director. Burl wants to return to the teaching profession and September 3^rd is his last day with Haines BBBS.

Burl noted, “For nearly 6 years, my employment with BBBS has been a fantastic experience, but I now feel that resigning is best for me and the program. I am looking forward to again working as a secondary teacher. BBBS-Alaska is a great organization and a good employer. I am sure the agency, with the help of the Haines Leaderships Council, will find a strong replacement. In talking to friends about my decision, the impacts and importance of this organization are made ever more clear. I will always be a supporter of Haines BBBS.”

Looking for a new way to support
Big Brothers Bigs Sisters?

If you live in the Anchorage, Eagle River or Mat-Su area you can dontate your used/useable adult children’s clothing as well as sheets, towels and pillow cases.

In Homer, put item in the big red bins located in Safeway and Lakeside Mall parking lots.

Items are weighed and the weight equals dollars that go to the BBBS program in your community. Items are sold at Value Village in Anchorage.
