Local Big Brother Earns Spot in 2008 Olympics
On June 28, 2008, Big Brother Darvis “Doc” Patton achieved his best performance running 9.89 in 100 meters, winning the third race of the quarterfinals of the U.S. Olympic Trials. On the following day in the final, he ran 9.84 and finished third to earn a spot on the 2008 U.S. Olympic team and is heading to Beijing.
