is the traditional Big Brothers Big Sisters relationship, where Bigs and Littles get together on their own to share fun activities they both enjoy. Matches typically meet for one hour a week.
Getting together is a great time for both the Big and the Little. It doesn’t require a special occasion or expensive activities; just a few hours every month to share the simple things you already like to do. Things like….
- Shooting hoops
- Playing a board game
- Sharing a pizza
- Taking a walk in the park
- Or just hanging out and talking.

Additional Community-Based Mentoring Opportunities
SchoolPLUS - This is an opportunity for a traditional school-based match to enjoy a few activities outside the school setting. In addition to visits with the Little at school, they may occasionally spend time together outside of the school setting. This is a great way for the Big to encourage hobbies and outside interests while sharing valuable one-to-one time with their Little. Volunteer Now
Big Couple - This community-based opportunity is for the married couple that would like to mentor a child together. In this program, a child is matched with a couple to participate and share in activities together. The child may spend time with both of you or with each of you separately on occasion. Volunteer Now
Big Family - For volunteers with families of their own, we offer this community-based opportunity to bring your type of family fun into the life of a child in our program. You probably already have lots of family activities and outings planned, so all you have to do is share those activities with another child. Volunteer Now
