Celebrity Host, Jason Terry

Jason "JT" Terry, all time leader in steals at the University of Arizona was the 10th overall pick in the 1999 NBA draft by the Atlanta Hawks where he played until traded to his current team, the Dallas Mavericks in 2004.

JT holds the distinction of scoring 1,000 points, and 200 steals the most in Arizona history. In his senior year, he was named First Team All-American by Associated Press, National Player of The Year by Sports Illustrated, CBS/Chevrolet and Rawlings Basketball Player of the Year and Pac-10 Player of the Year. He still wears his trademark knee high "cat socks", a tradition at Arizona.

At Dallas the 6'2 guard and eight year pro averages 17 points per game.

Ever the supporter of community causes, JT for the third consecutive year donated funds to Gilda's Club of North Texas, a cancer support program. This year the $16,400 donation represented $100 for each of the 164 three point goals he made during the 2006-2007 Mavericks season. His donation was matched by the Credit Union of Texas and an anonymous donor bringing the total of the donation to nearly $50,000.

He regularly participates in the NBA Read To Achieve and NBA All Star Reading Teams.

While with the Hawks, his foundation started in 2000, hosted the Jason Terry All Star Hoops Showdown celebrity weekend including a basket ball game featuring an All Star roster of NBA talent at Phillips Arena to raise funds for the United Negro College Fund metro Atlanta universities. He also established a computer lab in Seattle and holds his annual summer camps for boys and girls in Seattle, Tucson and in 2003, Atlanta. The NBA honored him with the Community Assist Award in 2002 and he will be recognized by Coca Cola and Boost Mobile as the 2007 Image Leader in Dallas the week of August 20.

The son of Andrea Cheatham and Curtis Terry, Jason is one of 10 children and was born in Seattle Washington where he graduated from Franklin High School.

He and his wife Johnyika have four daughters.
