GENERAL SCHOLARSHIP REQUIREMENTS
Applicant must
1. be a current or past Little Brother or Little Sister in the program,
2. be an American citizen,
3. be a graduating Senior,
4. attend a four-year college, junior college, or an accredited trade school in the fall,
5. have performed community service, and
6. submit all required documents as stated on the application

JEAN POWERS BOHART SCHOLARSHIP
(up to $2,000 per semester for 4 years)

The Jean Powers Bohart Scholarship is unique in that it aims to reward a student’s potential rather than merit alone. It recognizes that many students have had to overcome significant challenges to succeed in school and may be the first in their family to complete high school or go on to college. The Jean Powers Bohart Scholarship seeks to assist students with the financial assistance needed to achieve their dreams of higher education. This award must be used for tuition only.

"Make a Difference" SCHOLARSHIP
(up to $500 per year for 4 years)

The objective of the Darryl E. Cowles “Make a Difference” scholarship is to provide financial assistance to graduating seniors involved in the Big Brothers Big Sisters of North Texas program who meet the eligibility criteria of the scholarship. This scholarship seeks to assist students in achieving a higher education. This award can be used for tuition and fees, school-related housing, books, and other reasonable school-related expenses.

The objective of the Richard Gumtau “Higher Education” Scholarship is to provide financial assistance to graduating seniors involved in the Big Brothers Big Sisters of North Texas program who meet the eligibility criteria of the scholarship. This scholarship seeks to assist students in achieving a higher education. This award can be used for tuition and fees, school-related housing, books, and other reasonable school-related expenses.

"Math and Science" SCHOLARSHIP
(up to $500 per year for 4 years)

The objective of the National Semiconductor “Math and Science” scholarship is to provide educational financial assistance to graduating seniors who are involved in Big Brothers Big Sisters of North Texas, and who meet the eligibility criteria for the scholarship. The National Semiconductor Corporation, Arlington, Texas facility, establishes the scholarship.
The award can be used for: tuition and fees, school-related housing, books, and other reasonable school-related expenses.

ATTENTION ALL BIGS and PARENTS of City of Dallas and/or Dallas ISD Littles:
Texas Instruments is sponsoring a very special program for BBBS Littles who have a displayed interest in math and/or science and who live in the City of Dallas and/or attend a Dallas ISD school. The program provides participating Littles with up to $650 in qualifying scholarships for Math and Science clinics, fairs and special classes/tutoring.
The program funding is open ONLY to incoming 7th, 8th and 9th grade Little Brothers and Little Sisters who live in the city of Dallas and/or attend Dallas ISD schools--students who can demonstrate a propensity to the Math and Sciences.
