Rhonda Staley-Brooks is the current president and chief executive officer of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Sacramento. She has served in that capacity for six years and has been working with Big Brothers Big Sisters for 15 years. In that time, Brooks has gone from a caseworker earning her degree at CSU Sacramento to program manager to the local chapter’s executive officer. Brooks helped streamlined the screening process, cutting the time it takes to match mentors and children. The process used to take three to six months. She worked with the Big Brothers Big Sisters national office and using best practices has cut the time to three to six weeks to match a big brother or sister with a child. Under her leadership, the local Big Brothers Big Sisters chapter is matching more kids with more mentors then ever before. The organization matches more than 200 kids every year, more than double the amount it used to. In 2007 the agency served 457 children.

Stacie Grimes graduated from University of the Pacific with a degree in Child Psychology. After graduation she began working at La Familia as a family counselor, but soon began her first stint with Big Brothers & Big Sisters in 1989. She was with BBBS off and on until 1994. Stacie spent a few years in the corporate world working for Sprint until 1997 when she took some time off to stay at home with her kids. Stacie returned to work in 2003 as a 3rd and 4th grade teacher. In 2007, she took a position with Prevent Child Abuse California as a Project Manager for the Mentoring Children of Prisoners Program. This position reminded her of her love for BBBS, so in August of 2008, she returned once again to BBBS. While not working, Stacie is very busy with family – a husband, three kids and far too many pets!
