Rhonda Staley-Brooks is the current president and chief executive officer of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Sacramento. She has served in that capacity for six years and has been working with Big Brothers Big Sisters for 15 years. In that time, Brooks has gone from a caseworker earning her degree at CSU Sacramento to program manager to the local chapter’s executive officer. Brooks helped streamlined the screening process, cutting the time it takes to match mentors and children. The process used to take three to six months. She worked with the Big Brothers Big Sisters national office and using best practices has cut the time to three to six weeks to match a big brother or sister with a child. Under her leadership, the local Big Brothers Big Sisters chapter is matching more kids with more mentors then ever before. The organization matches more than 200 kids every year, more than double the amount it used to. In 2007 the agency served 457 children.
Collette Walls joined Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Sacramento in 2001. Over the past 7 years, she has held several positions within the organization.
