Marlene L. Olshan, Chief Executive Officer, brings significant corporate experience to BBBS SEPA. She joined the organization in September 2001, after six years as Managing Director of Spectrem Group, a $10 million dollar financial services consulting firm. Prior to Spectrem, Olshan spent over 20 years in various executive level positions in the retail industry. Olshan has served as a senior executive for a number of name brand stores including Macy's, The Children's Place, and Aeropostale. In 2006, Olshan was recognized by Leadership Philadelphia as one of the top leaders and "Connectors" in the region for exemplifying high-quality leadership and concern for the common good. She is also a member of the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD).
Judith D. Spangler, Chief Program Officer, is the former Executive Director of BBBS of Chester County. Spangler has been in non-profit management for over 15 years, and served as the Executive Director of both the YWCA of Philadelphia and the YWCA of Erie, PA. She is a frequent speaker on the needs of children of incarcerated parents and on "best practices" for mentoring programs: she leads sessions at the Amachi Institute and has been on numerous panels hosted by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services for grantees in the "Mentoring Children of Prisoners" program.
Laurie McLeod, Vice-President - Administration, transitions to BBBS SEPA with significant corporate experience in financial and budget management. She is responsible for financial management, operations, and human resources for BBBS SEPA.
Abigail Ellis, Director - Quality Assurance and Program Information, has been with BBBS since 1999, and has been responsible for expanding the School-based mentoring programs throughout our tri-county service area. In her current position, Ellis is responsible for analyzing all data on BBBS SEPA programs and matches to ensure the continued quality of our programs, processes, and matches.
Jennifer Carroll, Vice President, Match Support and School-Based Mentoring, joined BBBS in 1998. She has held various positions in the Community Based Program including case management and supervisory roles. Prior to Big Brothers Big Sisters, she worked with special-needs children in various settings.
Uva Coles, Vice President, Intake Services, joined BBBS in 2008. Her most recent position was with INROADS, where she worked as a Manager of Corporate Services. She participates in several professional groups including the Latino Leadership Alliance, and the Philadelphia Arts in Education Partnership.
Sherryl Kuhlman, Vice President, Strategic Initiatives and Marketing, leads the communications and marketing initiatives for BBBS SEPA. She has extensive experience in writing and managing grants and other complex funding sources.
Yvonne McPeak, Director - Recruitment, has been with BBBS since 1995. She has held multiple positions within the organization, and currently leads BBBS SEPA's school, community, and faith-based recruitment efforts.
Linda Pusatere, Director - Operations, has been with the organization since 1999 and is responsible for managing all operational aspects of all BBBS SEPA offices in Philadelphia, Chester, and Delaware Counties.
Ted Qualli, Director - Government Relations, brings government and public relations experience to BBBS SEPA. Following three years of strategic non-profit and governmental marketing and communications work at Keel Communications, Ted spent four years with the City of Philadelphia in positions within the Department of Human Services and Office of the Mayor.
Charles "Chuck" Wright, Vice President, Development, brings substantial experience in fund raising and donor cultivation, most recently serving as the Associate Vice President for Development at Villanova University. As the Vice President, Development Wright plans, organizes and implements all strategies for individual major gift donors and corporations. Additionally, Wright will be responsible for identifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding major donors and corporations.
