The Little Lunch recognized outstanding commitments to the mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Puget Sound and celebrated successes, showcasing our mentoring programs and raising important funds to fulfill our vision of providing a mentor for every child who needs or wants one!
Hosted by BBBSPS Board Chair, Mick Fleming, the afternoon recognized the following:
- 2007 Community Partner of the Year – The Seattle Times
- 2007 Al Heglund Lifetime Acheivement Award – Mr. John Meisnbach, President and CEO, MCM A Meisenbach Company
- 2007 Terry Baker Memorial Awards – or “Big of the Year”
- Big Brother of the Year – Mr. Josh Blacksher
- Big Sister of the Year – Mrs. Marlene Bartram
- School Based Big of the Year – Mr. Jeret Whitescarver
The over 400 business leaders and influencers in attendance experienced an exciting look into the world of mentorship from Tina Podlodowski, President and CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Puget Sound and compelling words of support from Frank Blethen, Publisher and CEO of The Seattle Times. BBBSPS Board Member Oscar Oliveira and his long-time little brother Ryan Macnamara shared their inspiring match story, while Ryan’s wife Sue surprised Ryan with an introduction to his new little brother, Jordan.
The Little Lunch with a BIG Impact proved to be an inspiring afternoon in support of mentoring and community. Thank you for your support!
