Donna Bennett, CEO for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cumberland & Salem Counties since 1992 approaches everyday with this thought in mind “however you are called upon to serve, serve with grace as your style, gratitude as your attitude and humility as your touchstone”.
Donna received her Bachelor of Science in Visual Communications from the University of Delaware and worked as an Art Director in an advertising agency prior to joining Big Brothers Big Sisters. During her tenure with Big Brothers Big Sisters the organization has grown between 20 – 30 % annually. In 2008, Big Brothers Big Sisters served 628 children (434 through one-to-one mentoring and 194 through special event activities).
Donna was a founding advisory member and alumni member of the first graduating class of Leadership Cumberland County. She is also on the Board of Directors for Tri-County Community Action Agency Partnership, Secretary for Big Brothers Big Sisters State Association of New Jersey, and member of Big Brothers Big Sisters of America National Leadership Council, serving on several committees such as Human Resource Development, Board Development, and Regional Conference Planning. In 2004 Donna received the Liberty Bell Award awarded by the Cumberland County Bar Association and in 2008 received the CEO of the Year Award from Big Brothers Big Sisters of America.
