Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Upstate Expands Its Board Of Directors

GREENVILLE, S.C. (August 17, 2009) – Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Upstate is pleased to announce that it has added four new members to its Board of Directors.

Rick Cauthen is a commercial broker with Coldwell Banker Commercial in Greenville, South Carolina. Cauthen joins the board with more than 25 years experience in management site location consulting, economic development, international business development, marketing, project management and construction. Cauthen received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Clemson University.

Marvin Johnson is store manager of Kohl’s in Anderson, South Carolina. Johnson joins the Board with twelve years management experience in the retail sales industry.  Johnson received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from North Carolina Wesleyan College. Johnson saw this position on the Board of Directors as a good opportunity to reach out to the community and children. He hopes to help increase exposure for Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Upstate in Anderson, SC.

Isaac McKissick is Director of School and District Partnerships for Spartanburg County School District Seven. McKissick is a native of Union, South Carolina and a graduate of the United States Military Academy in West Point, New York. McKissick earned advanced degrees in Engineering Management and Applied Economics and Finance from the University of Detroit-Mercy in Detroit, Michigan. His accomplishments as a businessman in education earned him recognition as Champion for Public Education by the South Carolina School Boards Association.

Frederick Turner is material program manager at Lockheed Martin in Greenville. Turner received his Bachelor of Science Degree in management from Long Island University in New York. Turner has a vast background in management training covering areas such as program management, project leadership and diversity training. Turner is a member of the Greenville Chamber of Commerce, Urban League of the Upstate, Lockheed Martin Mentoring Program, Hands on Greenville and is affiliated with Junior Achievement in San Antonio, Texas.
