Have fun and help kids! If you care about kids and can spare a little time for fun, then Bowl for Kids’ Sake is right up your alley!

Bowl for Kids’ Sake is Big Brothers Big Sisters' signature fundraising campaign.  It's not about bowling...it's about raising money and awareness for Big Brothers Big Sisters so that every child who needs and wants a mentor may have one. With every $1,000 raised, we will have the means to match a child on our waiting list with a caring adult mentor and professionally support their special friendship for a year!

Bowl for Kids' Sake campaigns will be held in each of the three counties our agency serves:  Pinellas, Hernando and Citrus.  At the end of the campaigns, bowling parties will be hosted to celebrate each team's success with their fundraising efforts.  The bowling parties will feature two free games of bowling and shoe/ball rental, an official Bowl for Kids' Sake T-Shirt, drink vouchures, chances to win door prizes, applicable incentive awards and much more! Team Captain:  Recruit four people to become members of your team.  Anyone who cares about raising money to help kids makes a terrific Bowl for Kids' Sake bowler, because after all, it's about the kids, not the bowling score!  When you become a  team captain, you will receive a helpful fundraising guide, brochures and donation tracking sheets for each of your team members, and a special gift of thanks from Big Brothers Big Sisters. 

Bowler:  Join a team or let us find one for you! As a bowler, your mission is to collect donations from your friends, co-workers, family members, etc.  Everything you collect goes directly to support Big Brothers Big Sisters mentoring programs and to help match more kids with a Big Brother, Big Sister or Big Couple.  You can collect donations on your own or work with your team members to bring in donations collectively...be creative!  Your team captain will have plenty of ideas in their Team Captain Fundraising Guide.

As a Team Captain or Bowler, you can begin your Bowl for Kids' campaign by registering online at www.bfks08.kintera.org.  Once you register yourself or your team, you will be able to set up and customize your personal webpage for online fundraising.  This is the easiest and most efficient way to raise money.  You have the capability to set and monitor your fundraising goal as an individual and as a team.  You can also record your "offline" cash and check donations on your personal webpage or fill out a pledge sheet provided to you by your team captain.

In addition to the terrific incentives listed in the brochures, we are offering a special award for the top fundraising team of each county.  Members of these teams will be invited to a special autograph and photo session with former Tampa Bay Buccaneer Mike Alstott!
