Club-Based Mentoring:
Be part of the collaboration between Big Brothers Big Sisters and Boy & Girls Clubs!
Club-based Mentoring brings the mentor in to the child’s comfort zone at a well known safe place in his or her community. It is still one-to-one mentoring but it takes place in a group setting and all activity takes place at a Club. Matches receive the support of both the Big Brothers Big Sisters Program Coordinator who facilitates each mentoring session and Boys and Girls Club staff who interact with the children and their families on a regular basis. The program is similar to our School-based mentoring program in that it follows the school year.
The Club setting offers a variety of recreational activities to engage in but some Littles talk with their Bigs about class, or do homework, or read together. Whatever the activity is, it's really all about friendship and guidance. For more information, please contact treguboff@bbbschgo.org
