Sponsor-a-Match

The holiday season is the time of year to be Thankful and to remember all of the wonderful blessings that we have in our lives.  However, many of the children we serve come from circumstances that will not allow them to celebrate the holidays the same way that most of us will and the way that every child should. 

Think back to when you were little, and to a time that someone other than a parent made you feel special.  Many children are waiting for a Big Brother or Big Sister mentor to become their friend and role model.  With the encouragement of Big Brothers and Big Sisters, children will be able to explore the many options and opportunities that life has to offer as they grow to become confident, competent, and caring individuals.

It sounds easy and it is!  The difficult part is spreading the message and motivating more volunteers to enroll.  The volunteer does not have to be a perfect role model, nor replace an absent parent.  The volunteer is there simply to be a friend and to bring a little magic into the life of a child.

Your donation to our Annual Sponsor-A-Match Campaign will enable us to financially serve and continue to maintain matches between “Bigs” and “Littles,” covering the expenses of training a volunteer, conducting background checks as well as in-home interviews with both the Big and Little.
