Big Brothers Big Sisters of Alaska appoints new CEO . . .

Forrest Karr, Chair of the Statewide Board of Directors for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Alaska, announced today that Taber Rehbaum has been named the new CEO of the agency effective Monday, August 10. Taber was selected by the Statewide Board of Directors after a national search assisted by Alaska Executive Search, Inc.

Rehbaum has been with Big Brothers Big Sisters for fourteen years, twelve as the Executive Director of Big Brothers Big Sisters of the greater Fairbanks area, and the last two as a member of the senior staff of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Alaska. She has been serving the agency as Interim CEO since June 1 of this year.
Karr said, “The Board has great confidence in Taber's leadership and we look forward to working with her in this new capacity. We are very fortunate to have the right person guiding the organization. Her knowledge of our state and dedication to the Big Brothers Big Sisters mission will serve the agency well. Every decision she makes is about the program and what she can do to make it better. Whatever Taber does, she does extremely professionally and with a tremendous amount of grace."
