Kids Bowl-A-Mania: August 12, & November 21, 2015
Volunteers, Littles, and their families participate in a smaller version of the Bowl for Kids’ Sake. Littles collect pledges and come out for a fun evening of bowling, refreshments, and prizes. The dedication of the children to raise money for a program they benefit from and that benefits other Genesee County youth is inspiring! The Genesee Regional Chamber Teen Quest participates in November raising significant funds for the agency.
Flint Motorcycle Club Annual Picnic: August 28, 2016
The Flint Motorcycle Club invites Bigs, Littles, and their families to their club in Otisville. They enjoy an activity filled day of crafts, games, fishing, food, and fun! The event is held just before school starts and the Club provides Littles with Book Bags and school supplies.
71st Annual Meeting/Recognition Celebration: September 18, 2015
Big Brothers Big Sisters celebrated its 71th Annual Meeting and Recognition Celebration. Once again, Sponsored by Art Van, the event celebrated 71 years of history, community support, and volunteer commitment. It will include volunteer recognition, a celebrity speaker, live entertainment and Hors D’oeuvres.
Getting Better Grades Workshop: October, 2015
Littles, Bigs, and parents attend this workshop sponsored by Delta Sigma Theta Sorority to encourage and support Littles throughout the school year. Local teachers facilitate the workshop sharing study and organization tips to help students excel and succeed in school. School supplies are provided.

56th Annual Indoor Motorcycle Ice Races Kick-Off Party: December 10, 2015
A Kick-Off Party will be held at Scooters Bar & Grill featuring raffles, a silent auction and pre-race fun! The live auction raises several thousand dollars to support ongoing mentoring programs.
56th Annual Indoor Motorcycle Ice Races: December 12, 2015
The Flint Motorcycle Club hosts indoor racing with proceeds benefitting Big Brothers Big Sisters. The event takes place at Perani Event Center with over 2,000 spectators. Big Brothers Big Sisters is grateful for our lasting relationship and this tradition with the Flint Motorcycle Club. This is a great activity for our Bigs and Littles! The kick off date is December 10, with the Ice Races happening on December 12.

This year’s guest speaker is Dr. Umar Johnson. Dr. Johnson is a noted educator, psychologist, political scientist, author and blood relative to the late abolitionist Frederick Douglass. His passion lies with the advancement of at risk, violent, suicidal, and depressed African American Youth, ages 3-21, targeting the learning disabilities, disorder identification, and dangerous behaviors they may have that impact them in and out of the classroom.

37th Annual Bowl for Kids’ Sake: February 25-28, 2016
Over 2,500 individuals from Genesee County and surrounding communities come out to Galaxy Bowling Center for the Big Brothers Big Sisters bowling Challenge. The event provides a chance for all ages and bowling abilities to support mentoring needs and Opportunities for children in our community. Corporate sponsors and pledges collected by participants provide Big Brothers Big Sisters with a significant portion of revenue to support services and programs. The event attracts families, co-workers, friends, service clubs, fraternities, sororities, faith-based groups, and others.

A variety of spring Perennials are available through this fundraising flower sale. General Community and members of Big Brothers Big Sisters program are encouraged to purchase plants through a presale to support the agency’s efforts.
41st Annual Golf Tournament – Fore the Kids: June 13, 2016
One of the older charity golf tournaments in the area, this event brings together golfers who want to enjoy a day on the course as they support our mission. The 2016 event will be held at Atlas Valley Country Club.
