Site-Based Mentoring
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Missouri offers several different ways for individuals or groups to come together to help area children. Here are our biggest categories of School/Site Based Mentoring:
Bigs In School
Individuals or groups visit kids at a school during the day or in an after school setting. Some matches spend time one-on-one while others participate in group activities. Bigs can also help with homework, play games or just talk with their Little. To see a list of our partnering schools, click here.
Big Futures
High School Bigs help Littles from elementary or middle school with homework -- or they can just play games and hang out. The younger kids love the attention of older teens and see them as role models. The teens benefit from being in such a responsible position, and want to keep being the kind of people their Littles will look up to. To see a list of our partnering schools, click here.
Big University
College students make terrific Bigs. Partnerships with college and university groups provide Littles with a vision for college and the friendship, support and inspiration they need to get there themselves one day. To see a list of our partnering universities, click here.
