Big For A Day

Big For A Day is a fun opportunity for companies and other organizations to get involved with Big Brothers Big Sisters.  Big For A Day is exactly what it sounds like! Adult volunteers from your company and/or organization get to be a Big Brother or Big Sister for a day.  This is a great way to learn more about mentoring and also a great way to help a child in your community.

Right now, there are over 750 children waiting to be matched with a Big Brother or Big Sister.  When your employees serve as Bigs For A Day, they are being positive adult role models to those children waiting for a mentor.  They will be providing a fun opportunity for children that are excited about joining Big Brothers Big Sisters. 

BBBS staff will provide transportation for the children attending the events.  The following items are needed from your company or organization in order to make the event successful:

• 2 hour time span with a minimum of 10 volunteers
• Planned activities for the event
• Any activity expenses that might be incurred (i.e. bowling rental, park shelter rental, etc.)
• A snack for the children attending the event
