Martin Luther King Day of Service a Complete Success!

Heeding the call for a day of service in honor of MLK Day, thirteen Big Brothers Big Sisters staff members and Sal Martinez, a BBBS Board Member, generously volunteered their time. They joined Senator Jeff Smith and over 200 volunteers to clean up Martin Luther King Drive. Channel 4 highlighted the efforts of BBBS in their coverage of the “Day of Service” and communicated the need for more volunteers to join other service groups. John Suggs, Director of Community Engagement for BBBS was excited to see the amount of volunteers who turned out, “It is such a rewarding feeling to see people give some of their time, particularly on a special day like today.”
