Official Rules
The Big Brothers Big Sisters 2010 Raffle is conducted by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Dane County, Inc. (“BBBSDC”), a not-for-profit corporation organized under the laws of the State of Wisconsin.
1. Purchase prices are: $60 for one (1) ticket or $100 for two (2) tickets.
2. Payments are not deductible as charitable contributions.
3. If an entrant’s payment is not honored by the bank, the entry will be declared invalid.
4. In order to be eligible, completed registration forms must be delivered and in the possession of BBBSDC by 5 p.m., August 7, 2010 and be one of the first 4,500 tickets sold. Any payments on tickets sold after the 4500th ticket will be refunded.
5. Raffle ticket purchasers must be 18 years of age or older and must qualify under Wisconsin law.
6. First prize shall be a Victory Red 1ss Coupe 2010 Chevy Camaro valued at $35,000 (or $30,000 cash). Second prize shall be a Chevy 4x4 Silverado Extended Cab LS valued at $30,000 (or $25,000 cash); third prize shall be $10,000 cash; 4th prize shall be a Schwinn Men’s Midtown bike and helmet valued at $450; 5th prize shall be a two-night stay in a Family Suite at Great Wolf Lodge in Wisconsin Dells valued at $300; 6th prize shall be 1 year of carwashes at Mermaid Car Wash valued at $200.
7. All prizes will be delivered exactly as shown; winners will not have the option of substitution.
8. Winners shall be responsible for all federal, state and local taxes, fees, assessments and like charges due in conjunction with acquiring a prize. Vehicle winners shall be responsible for paying state or local license, title, and registration fees and insurance costs associated with accepting and operating the vehicle.
9. The winners of first (1st) and second (2nd) prize will have fourteen (14) calendar days from notification of winning, to inform BBBSDC of their choice to take possession of the prize or to accept the cash option. If no choice is made in 14 days, BBBSDC will deem that the winner has chosen to take the cash option. Winners are required to take delivery of a vehicle prize within forty-five (45) days after the drawing date.
10. Names of the winners will be posted at the BBBSDC office and on its website at www.bbbs.org/danecounty. A copy of the list may be obtained by sending a self-addressed, stamped envelope to BBBSDC; Attn: Raffle Notification; 2059 Atwood Avenue; Madison, WI 53704.
11. In the event 4,500 tickets are sold, each ticket has a 1 in 1,500 chance of winning one of the top three prizes.
12. Winners will be determined by random drawing. The drawing will be held August 8, 2010, at 1:00 pm CST at BBBSDC; 2059 Atwood Ave; Madison, WI 53704—in the parking lot.
13. Winners need not be present to win.
14. If 3,000 tickets or less are sold by August 7, 2010, BBBSDC reserves the right to modify the Raffle withdrawing the first prize of a Chevy Camaro and splitting the remaining net profits (income less expenses) equally between BBBSDC and the first prize winner.
15. If 1,500 tickets or less are sold, BBBSDC, at its option, may cancel the Raffle any time before the drawing and, in such event, BBBSDC shall return to each participant the full purchase price of the ticket.
16. More than one name may be stated on the registration form; however, the first listed name shall be deemed the “entrant.” It is the sole responsibility of the participants in a group entry to allocate the prize.
17. All decisions of BBBSDC shall be final on all matters concerning the Raffle.
18. Employees of BBBSDC are not eligible to participate.
