Nebraska Boiler Golf Outing Raises $100,750
Fifth Annual Golf Outing Means Big Magic For Heartland Big Brothers Big Sisters
C-B Nebraska Boiler raised more than $100,000 for Heartland Big Brothers Big Sisters at their Annual Charity Golf Outing this June. With a goal of raising $75,000, event organizers were not sure they would be able to reach their fundraising goal due to the economic climate. However, through their commitment and dedication donations raised during the golf outing surpassed the goal by more than $25,000. Since the company’s initial golf outing, Nebraska Boiler has exponentially increased the amount of donations raised each year.
“While a tremendous amount of time and effort goes into making this event the success it has become, it is all worthwhile when at the end of the evening you realize the significant impact you have made for such a wonderful organization in the Lincoln community,” said Tom Lannin, Nebraska Boiler Golf Outing Organizer.
Little Brother Daniel helped with the auction as the assistant Master of Ceremonies. Little Brother Robert and Little Sister Haileigh were also on hand to help present a special award to Mr. Greg Slack a generous supporter of the Golf Outing and Heartland Big Brothers Big Sisters.
“When they announced the total I was in shock, both amazed and overjoyed by the amount of donations Nebraska Boiler raised this year,” said Julie Cervantes-Salomons, Executive Director. “I cannot begin to express the kind of impact this type of donation has on our agency and in the community.”
Robert St-Denis, President of C-B Nebraska Boiler said, "We're proud to support Heartland Big Brothers Big Sisters. You can never go wrong in investing in youth. Knowing this organization gives these kids confidence and a sense of belonging at such an impressionable age is the best legacy we can bestow upon them. At the end of the day, it is money well placed."
