Getting Ready to Bowl for Kids' Sake Spring Break

 Are you dreaming of some place warmer? This year the hottest Spring Break destination is Sun Valley Lanes and Big Brothers Big Sisters Bowl for Spring Break. Dust off your hula skirt and grab your self-tanner because this year’s event on April 10th and 17th will be a Bowl for Kids’ Sake to remember. Register today as a bowler or team captain, collect donations and then join Big Brothers Big Sisters for the hottest bowling party in Lincoln.

a change of shoes can change a life

 Heartland Big Brothers Big Sisters works each day to match kids with caring Big Brother and Big Sister mentors. We are dedicated to helping build relationships that last, by recruiting great volunteers, giving them the best training possible and providing continual support for our Bigs and Littles.

Our goal is to match 150 more youth with a Big Brother or Big Sister than ever before and through Bowl for Kids’ Sake, you can help. Although traditionally Spring Break is thought of as a way to take a break from college, you can actually help kids go to college through your gifts to Bowlathon.   

Research points to the powerful, positive, lasting impact Bigs have on children’s lives. Littles are:

  • 52% less likely to skip school
  • 46% less likely to begin using illegal drugs
  • More likely to get along with their families and peers

Bowl for Spring Break Bowlers qualify for Disney's "Give a Day. Get a Disney Day."promotion.

 You simply need to sign up, search for Heartland Big Brothers Big Sisters and register for the Bowl for Kids’ Sake. Once we confirm your bowling time, you will complete the registration process with the HandsOn Network.

Then all you have to do is assemble your team, raise pledges and come out and bowl! The next business day after the event we will confirm your hours and you will be on your way!
