Big Sister of the Month
Nikki and Tiffani McGill
Tiffani McGill is a proud Big Sister of the Nassau County branch of Big Brothers Big Sisters. McGill has been matched with her Little Sister, Nikki, for nearly two years. They enjoy typical activities such as: swimming, going to the beach, riding bikes and doing homework assignments. The two have even begun training and running races together. McGill enjoys teaching Nikki the positives rewards you receive from living a healthy lifestyle. “Being a mentor is a wonderful life experience. I can't think of anything I have done in my life that is more rewarding,” McGill said.
Big Brother of the Month
Tyree and Charles Hirsch
On September 11, 2009, Charles Hirsch found out he had been matched to a Little. Once a week or every other week, Hirsch gets to spend time with his Little Brother, Tyree. Hirsch is very open to trying new things which in turn has created a strong bond between the two. Recently, because Tyree did not have one, Hirsch helped him build a nightstand. Tyree is very proud of his nightstand his Big Brother helped him build. Tyree’s mother stated, “I feel this is the perfect match.” Hirsch is also an active member of BBBS. Recently, he attended the first ever Clay County Bigs Round Table.
