Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Capital Region helps children reach their potential by providing them with one-to-one mentoring relationships with community volunteers. Our volunteers (Bigs) share time, encouragement and experiences that brighten children's futures as well as their days.

Bigs and Littles have fun together — and create memories that last a lifetime. We call it “Little moments, Big magic.” Research points to the powerful, positive, lasting impact Bigs have on children’s lives. Children in our programs are:

Big Brother Joe always encouraged his Little Brother Aldo to strive for academic excellence and to take school more seriously.
