Big Brothers Big Sisters matches children, ages 6 through 18, with volunteers in one-to-one mentoring relationships.
Making the Connection
Big Brothers Big Sisters has a variety of volunteer opportunities available. Matches come together through our two essential programs:
Community-based Mentoring: Bigs and Littles meet in the community a couple of times a month to share fun activities, stories and a little bit of themselves. Learn more »
Site-based Mentoring: Bigs and Littles meet at schools, colleges and businesses to talk, learn and have fun. Meetings take place weekly or bi-weekly at the same location. Learn more»

How a Big becomes a Big (and a Little a Little)
All of our Bigs go through a thorough background check and careful interview process. All of our Littles and their parents/guardians are also interviewed. We then match Bigs and Littles based on location, personalities and preferences. We also provide full support along the way — so that matches can grow into lasting friendships.
