thank you volunteers!

Thank you to all the matches who helped with the Service Project at Potter Park Zoo on June 20th! This year, matches raked leaves and helped weed flower beds (and caught a few frogs in the process).  A special thank you goes out to our wonderful AmeriCorps Members: Danielle, Ron and Jeff who planned this year's Service Project.

help Arby's help kids

Arby's restaurants are giving residents of Clinton, Eaton, Ingham, Ionia, and Shiawassee counties an easy way to help the children in their community.  Arby's customers who come into local Arby's restaurants from June 15th through July 26th may donate a dollar and sign a "Help Us Help Kids" pin-up to hang on the walls of the restaurant.  Customers who donate will receive a coupon redeemable for $1 off select Arby's menu items during their next purchase.  All donated money will support Big Brothers Big Sisters Michigan Capital Region.

 Bowl for  Kids' Sake

Thank you for your participation in this year's Bowl for Kids' Sake!  While the bowling may be over, we are short of our $55,000 campaign goal, and our need to support the more than 700 children enrolled in our programs is ongoing.  Make your contribution now and help us reach our goal!

our impact on children

Bigs and Littles have fun together — and create memories that last a lifetime. We call it “Little moments … Big magic.” Research points to the powerful, positive, lasting impact Bigs have on children’s lives. Littles are:

  • 52% less likely to skip school
  • 46% less likely to begin using illegal drugs
  • More likely to get along with their families and peers
