With so many resources available about the H1N1 Virus, we are taking extra precautions to make sure our Bigs and Littles have the correct information to keep themselves healthy!
It's important not to panic about the flu, and to take the key steps to protect yourself and your family. Make sure you are washing your hands, covering your cough and sneezes with a tissue and staying home for at least 24 hours after your symptoms are no longer present. If you do get sick, make sure you contact your doctor as soon as possible and stay away from school or work.
Thank you to all of our Bigs, Littles, donors, supporters and stafffor making the 2009 Annual Dinner a success. our impact on children
Bigs and Littles have fun together — and create memories that last a lifetime. We call it “Little moments … Big magic.” Research points to the powerful, positive, lasting impact Bigs have on children’s lives. Littles are:
52% less likely to skip school
46% less likely to begin using illegal drugs
More likely to get along with their families and peers
Through the magic of friendship, Big Sister Jessica has been a positive influence on Little Sister Rakell for the past three years. In fact, the two are so close that they consider themselves real sisters.
