Holiday Assistance

Big Brothers Big Sisters collaborates with other organizations in the community to offer Thanksgiving and Christmas assistance to families in need.  

Although we do not provide baskets directly, we provide the following information about organizations that provide holiday assistance directly to families in need. This coordination of effort allows organizations in the community to provide a more centralized approach to holiday assistance in order to avoid duplication of effort and help meet the needs of the community. Whether you are a donor or a recipient of donations, please let these partner organizations know you were directed by Big Brothers Big Sisters so allocations can be made accordingly.

In addition to this holiday information, referrals to specific community organizations for ongoing health and human service needs can be obtained from:

• Shiawassee County: United Way at (888) 866-4566.
