Donor Database Coordinator – [Charlotte, NC]


Provide management and oversight of database; guides reporting and analysis; promotes and supports training and effective database use among staff.



  1. Manage data entry and record management, ensuring accuracy, consistency and timeliness
  2. Manage and enforce gift acknowledgement processes, ensuring timely and accurate recognition of all gifts
  3. Make appropriate and timely recommendations on database expansion and/or enhancements to ensure the most effective and efficient use of the system
  4. Respond to donor inquiries concerning gift history, receipts, and other documentation
  5. Coordinate and plan for future data conversions/upgrades as needed
  6. Provide routine maintenance and cleanup of donor database


  1. Provide regular and ad hoc reporting to development and finance departments
  2. Provides support to staff by assisting with creation of reports, mailing/donor lists and other projects
  3. Collaborate with other staff members to analyze fundraising trends/results and provide related analysis


  1. Assess needs and promote training opportunities for all donor database users
  2. Supervise data entry volunteers


  1. Support other agency campaigns and projects
  2. Participate, lead (when necessary), and attend community and agency-appropriate meetings
  3. Other duties as assigned

Education Level:

Bachelor’s Degree

Years of  Related Work Experience:

2-4 years donor database experience

Skills and Knowledge:


Experienced user of Microsoft Office products






Sensitivity to working with confidential information

Possess superior problem solving skills (technical)




Minimum three years experience in an office environment




Experience with and understanding of non-profits

Work Environment/Physical Requirements: 

While performing the duties of the job, the employee will work in an office environment and is required to work predominantly standing, sitting, walking, using hands and arms, typing using a computer, answering the telephone and reaching with hands and arms.
