Salary $36,000 annualized salary

The Marion County Program Specialist is actively involved in community organizations and with school partners and working directly with volunteers, children, and families for the purpose of creating, supporting, and sustaining high volume, high qualify Big Little matches.

Primary responsibilities include but not limited to: Assist with partnerships with Marion County Public Schools and youth serving organizations to recruit children to match with volunteers; Interview child and volunteer applicants; Review all enrollment information and complete assessments as well as make recommendations; Conduct introductory match meetings; Supervise, and Support and coach matches according to match support that adheres to BBBSA and BBBST standards and policies.


  • Bachelor’s in Social Services, Human Services, or related field required.
  • Candidate will have knowledge and experience working with Marion County.
  • Candidate must have two-years’ experience, preferably working in the non-profit sector.
  • Interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated technology skills will be expected to include Microsoft Office Software and data-based management.
