Supporting the Well-Being of Young People

Ulta Beauty Charitable Foundation

Overview

Since 2016, the Ulta Beauty Charitable Foundation (UBCF) has been on a mission to make a difference in the communities where they live and work, particularly by improving the lives of women and families. In 2023, UBCF expanded its partnership commitment with Big Brothers Big Sisters from a local agency partnership with BBBS of Metropolitan Chicago to the national level, expanding its investment broadly after seeing the value of the impact BBBS makes in the communities we serve.

As a national well-being partner, Ulta Beauty is supporting Big Brothers Big Sisters in offering custom experiences and access to self-care, self-expression and self-discovery resources to hundreds of thousands of young people across the country.

Today, too many young people face complex challenges from mental health crises to inequality. Mentorship has proven to be an important part of helping young people feel a greater sense of belonging, reach their potential and lead fulfilling lives.

Together, we aim to open more doors and create access to resources and opportunities that ignite the power and promise of youth.

Point of Sale

Ulta Beauty will hold a POS (Point of Sale) in-store donation program to benefit BBBS from Sunday, May 19th to Saturday, June 15th. During the sale, 80 cents of every $1 raised in stores will directly support programs, training, and resources for young people in local communities across the BBBS network.

We invite you to visit your local Ulta Beauty store or purchase a gift card online at www.ulta.com and make a donation to support youth well-being.

The funds raised will support the creation and implementation of new youth-focused wellness initiatives.

BECOME A BIG

Becoming a Big is more important than ever as we now navigate the post-pandemic effects on youth mental health, as well as economic and societal inequities.

Big Brothers Big Sisters serves young people from age five through young adulthood in one-to-one mentoring friendships. Bigs and Littles hang out 2-3 times a month for a few hours doing normal, everyday activities, like seeing a movie, doing homework, playing games, going out to eat, or just hanging out!

Each match is supported by a dedicated Match Support Specialist who is always there to provide resources and support specific to the Little's age. With a Big in their life, Littles in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program are empowered to ignite their potential as they grow in their self-esteem, earn better grades, and develop a lifelong friendship with their Big.
