The Mentoring Specialist (MS) is responsible for interviewing, assessing, matching and supporting the volunteers and children that are matched in the one-to-one mentoring program. The MS will ensure child safety, promote positive impacts for youth, foster constructive and satisfying relationships between children and volunteers, and cultivate a strong sense of affiliation with Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters of Los Angeles on the part of the volunteers.

Enrollment and Match Support Specialist – [Charlotte, NC]

Big Brothers Big Sisters partners with individual donors, foundations, corporations, government and others to build the critical network of support that funds and enables the work of carefully matching children with caring adult mentors and providing ongoing support to the child, volunteer mentor and child’s family. Enrollment and Match Specialist – [Anchorage, AK]

This position is responsible for providing high-level customer service throughout the implementation of the volunteer and child enrollment and matching process in accordance with the Big Brother Big Sister brand and volunteer options.  The successful incumbent will produce positive outcomes in the following areas: volunteer yield and processing time; youth yield; youth/parent processing time, and new match goals.

Program Specialist – [Anchorage, AK]

This position is responsible for responsible for providing match support for our Sync program, which serves youth ages 14-21 who are in or aging out of foster care. This includes facilitating match meetings, assisting with planning and implementing match activities, maintaining relationships with the Independent Living staff, and attending Foster Youth retreats and Independent Living classes as needed. The position is also responsible for providing other direct service delivery based on the needs of the local office.
