Responsible for supporting statewide fund development efforts through the acquisition, cultivation, and stewardship of individual donors. This is a new position that builds on our vision to connect youth to career and college success mentors, and with sports and wellness resources through intentional partnerships engaging schools and the business community. The Program Manager will lead strategy and supervise a team of approximately 4-5 program staff, and will direct operations that deliver our 1-to-1 mentoring relationships through special programs that blend curriculum with real-world experiences. The nature of this work requires consistent availability in the evenings and weekends to supervise staff working with mentors, families, and partners outside of normal business hours.

Performance Measures: The successful incumbent will produce positive outcomes in the following areas: match closure rate, match retention rate, average match length, volunteer rematch rate, and customer satisfaction. The Incumbent will support volunteers, parents, and children through contacts, events, and resources.
The primary function of this position is to help the Mentoring Department cultivate resources and provide events and activities to matches that are innovative, engaging and relevant. The incumbent will maximize internal and external resources in order to propose and develop age-appropriate opportunities for individual matches, small groups and the program as a whole. Primary goals are to increase agency engagement for matches, build community at multiple levels, reduce the cost of mentoring for volunteers, and enhance the programmatic experience for Littles and Bigs.
For this position, the successful candidate will also coordinate our high-quality, after school mentoring program. This involves creating activity curricula, managing high school mentors, teaching leadership skills, and nurturing long-lasting match relationships, while working closely with school and after- school personnel.
