Essential to the BBBS brand, the primary function of this position is to ensure that volunteers and children are appropriately enrolled and matched while executing a high degree of independent judgment when utilizing BBBS standards and practices. A high-level customer service, focusing on volunteer options and child safety, is to be demonstrated throughout the volunteer and child enrollment and matching process.

The successful incumbent will produce positive outcomes in the following areas: volunteer yield and processing time; youth yield; youth/parent processing time, customer satisfaction match closure rate, match retention rate, average match length, volunteer rematch rate, and customer satisfaction. The Incumbent will support volunteers, parents, and children through contacts, events, and resources. The Program Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and implementing all aspects of the Bigs in Blue Program in conjunction with the Director of Programs.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Greater Virginia Peninsula has roots dating back to 1979. Under the direction and supervision of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the position is responsible for the design, implementation, support, and oversight of all agency mentoring programs. The Vice President of Programs ensures match growth, match retention and match length goals are met through leadership of recruitment, enrollment, match and retention functions. This position is responsible for overall quality and capacity building of agency direct services through an ongoing process of program & staff development, supervision, monitoring, and evaluation of service staff. Generally, this positon is responsible for developing programs in concert with the organization’s vision, mission, and strategic plan.
Conduct volunteer enrollments including: individual orientations, child safety education, interviews, and completion of any other enrollment processes. Assess the necessity of home visits and complete as indicated.
The function of this temporary position is to provide interim match support (monitoring and supervision of mentor/mentee matches) for a caseload of approximately 65 matches within our community-based program. JBBBSLA mentees are offered a range of additional opportunities through our agency, including free summer camp and retreats, college guidance and college scholarships. MSS staff collaborate with other staff/departments to ensure our mentees benefit from these opportunities. The temporary MSS also may be asked to conduct Match Introduction Meetings if needed.
The primary function of this position is to provide match support (monitoring and supervision of mentor/mentee matches) so that youth benefit from caring, nurturing relationships with positive role-models, and the experience for volunteers is rich and rewarding. JBBBSLA mentees are offered a range of additional opportunities through our agency, including free summer camp and retreats, college guidance and college scholarships. Match Support Specialists collaborate with other staff/departments to ensure our mentees benefit from these opportunities; they also assist with various support projects, which may include, for example, training new volunteers or participating in match events.
Big Brothers Big Sisters Mountain Region is looking for a community focused energetic team player to join our program team. Program tasks include customer service, interviewing, conducting background checks, providing match support, conducting research surveys, case management, training, community outreach, and recruitment. Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree, strong Spanish speaking skills. Experience working with youth and families in Northern NM, customer service, database and Microsoft Suite. Some irregular hours and travel necessary.
