Qualifications for Position

Four-year college degree and 3-5 year’s experience working in management/programs with a non-profit organization. Fundraising experience helpful. Experience managing staff.


Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Birmingham is opening a satellite office in Montgomery to serve a 7-county area. The position will initially provide direct services to Montgomery Area schools and develop the agency for the Montgomery area. The Satellite Director will manage a Board of Directors and supervise additional staff as they are hired.

This position will serve as the face of the agency and will also be responsible for public outreach, developing relationships with schools, corporations, and other community partners.   It is expected this role will maintain the high quality of mentoring services required by Big Brothers Big Sisters of America.  There is room for growth in this position regarding salary and potential oversight of additional satellite offices as they are opened.  Persons interested in this position must be a self-starter and passionate about the impact mentoring can make on a young person’s life.  There is room for growth in this role and expanding the services.  Please send a cover letter and resume to

Salary Range:  $50,000-$60,000 plus full benefits and flexible schedule and a hybrid work model.
