Curtis is passionate about basketball, performing, and giving back to his community. He became an outspoken mental health advocate after openly sharing his personal experience with depression during the COVID-19 lockdown. Through this vulnerability, Curtis is committed to using his voice to inspire and support other young people.
He actively contributes to his school and community by helping individuals experiencing homelessness, assisting peers, and coaching students with special needs. CJ is involved in several organized organizations and prioritizes self-care through a weekly therapy routine with Maya.
Kenya is an emerging figure in Public Relations, Communication, and Multimedia Communications. A proud City Honors graduate, she is recognized for her strong involvement and commitment to seizing opportunities and ensuring they are accessible to others. Kenya is deeply dedicated to “sharing the wealth” by passing along opportunities and reminding young people that support is available to them.
She has facilitated conversations on mental health in low-income communities and written and delivered speeches focused on celebrating culture and embracing challenges as pathways for growth. At City Honors, Kenya also served as the Wellness Room Ambassador, encouraging students to engage with wellness resources and understand the importance of mental health in high-pressure environments.
Kenya has gained experience across Law, Consulting, Nonprofit Organizations, and the Sports and Entertainment industry. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies at Chapman University, with a focus on public speaking, community engagement, multimedia communications, and verbal and non-verbal communication.
Charlotte is 11 years old and a Little Sister with Catholic Big Brothers Big Sisters of Los Angeles County. She was matched with her Big Sister, Caitlin, in June 2024, marking the beginning of her mentoring journey and connection to the Big Brothers Big Sisters mission. Charlotte was recently featured in a Big Brothers Big Sisters public service announcement airing during Amazon Prime’s Thursday Night Football.
Outgoing, confident, and inquisitive, Charlotte is never afraid to ask questions and truly enjoys being in the spotlight. She is also a talented musician who plays piano and guitar, sings, and is a member of the National Children’s Chorus. Charlotte recently received an Award of Excellence in the National PTA Reflections contest for her musical composition. She has performed in her school talent show and was selected to perform at the Culver City District Talent Show at the MUSE Museum.

Malicii is a senior in high school and currently serves as Mr. Mays for the 2025–2026 school year. Throughout his four years, he has held multiple leadership roles within the Student Government Association, including Class Treasurer, Vice President, and School Representative, as well as leadership positions in SkillsUSA.
Malicii has completed more than 400 hours of community service and participated in internships with Google and the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, experiences that strengthened his leadership skills and passion for innovation. Academically, he has challenged himself through multiple AP and Dual Enrollment courses, demonstrating a commitment to growth both inside and outside the classroom.
Inspired by his late father and grandfather, Malicii values perseverance, humility, and service to others. Following graduation, he plans to major in Marketing and pursue a career at Google, where he hopes to combine creativity, leadership, and purpose to make a lasting impact.
Laila is a motivated high school senior with a 3.85 GPA and a Criminal Justice certification earned through dual enrollment. She is passionate about advocacy, leadership, and community service, with a strong interest in pursuing a career in law.
Laila has experience in public speaking, youth engagement, and professional environments through student leadership roles, volunteer work, and internship opportunities. She brings a professional attitude, strong communication skills, and a deep interest in social justice and legal systems.
Matthew is a 16-year-old from the Bronx, New York, with a strong passion for sports and community involvement. An avid baseball player, he has competed at the varsity level since his freshman year and continues to play travel baseball. As an only child of immigrant parents, Matthew grew up taking on significant responsibilities from a young age, which helped shape his strong work ethic and independence.
He has held a variety of roles, including babysitter, pet sitter, teacher assistant, and karate instructor. Deeply engaged in his community, Matthew participates in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program and has also served as a Youth Ambassador with the New York Road Runners.
Looking ahead, Matthew aspires to become an athletic influencer, with the goal of inspiring the next generation and serving as the role model he once needed. He hopes to share his story—one rooted in perseverance, self-belief, and the determination to never give up.
Gabriela is a sophomore originally from Brazil who moved to the United States at the age of five. After spending most of her life in California, she recently relocated to New York. She has a strong interest in media and storytelling, particularly through interviewing peers and contributing creatively as part of a school yearbook staff, where she enjoyed both conducting interviews and designing page layouts.
Gabriela thrives on challenges and brings curiosity and creativity to everything she does. Outside of her academic pursuits, she enjoys performing, baking, and spending quality time with friends and family.
